ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS:

WHAT THE RESOLUTION ACCOMPLISHES:

The Resolution approves the acceptance of the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistant Grant Award #15PBJA-23-GG-03248-JAGX, in the amount of $23,019 and authorizes the City Manager or his designee to execute related documents.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION AND BACKGROUND:

Funding in the amount of $23,019, is provided by the Department of Justice/Bureau of Justice Assistance.

 

Funding is available upon the execution of the agreement to September 30, 2024.

 

Funds will be used to purchase equipment for the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) to assist with investigations.

 

No matching funds required. 

 

The Police Department is requesting approval for the City Manager to execute the current and any future award documents during the reporting period. The agreement will be presented for signature, electronically.

Funding is provided by the Department of Justice/Bureau of Justice Assistance.

 

$23,019 is being awarded on a reimbursable basis.

 

Upon acceptance of the award, the Finance Department will set up Phase 2024 under Project Number G21067, Division 21067 JAG-Local.
